Latest member of the Plexus® MA8105 product family.

The MA8100 family of products are easy-to-use 1:1 mix ratio, high strength, high elongation acrylate adhesives with excellent bonding properties on metals, including various types of electroplating, composites, rubbers, coatings and thermoplastics. They have the added benefit of greatly reduced odor that is typical of acrylate adhesives.

Plexus MA8105, is a 5 minute working time product with fixed times between 12 and 15 minutes. It takes the robust adhesion, excellent mechanical properties of other MA8100 series products and adds faster product throughput. It is an advanced two-part direct-to-metal structural methacrylate adhesive. It is designed to achieve structural bonding of a wide range of metals, plastics and composite assemblies in industrial and transportation manufacturing.

MA8105 expands design possibilities by offering primerless adhesion to metals (including galvanized steel), coatings, plastics including nylon (polyamide) and composites. With a versatile 1:1 mix ratio, MA8105 has a unique combination of low odor, high strength, toughness and fatigue resistance.

Properties:

• Gray color. • Mixing ratio: 1:1 (v/v) • Shear strength: 1800 to 2700 psi (12.4 to 18.6 MPa) • Viscosity: - Adhesive: 50.000 - 120.000 cP - Activator: 50.000 - 120.000cP • Working time: 3 - 6 minutes. • Fixing time: 12 - 16 minutes. • Tensile strength: 3000 psi - 3600 psi (20.7 - 24.8 MPa) • Tensile elongation: 20 - 40 %.
