Contact adhesives must be applied to both sides of the materials. After the drying time the surfaces must be joined immediately under high pressure within the contact life.

Adhesives of this type provide an immediate initial strength, and the bonded parts can be worked on immediately afterwards. This bonding technique is for example a preferred solution for use in lamination applications.
